Testimonials

Michah did a great job helping me train my puppy. She is patient and thorough. I like her and techniques and my puppy responds well to them.
— Lauren, Delmar
Michah was absolutely sweet and patient with Luna! She helped us so much with fears/nervousness on the leash and car! We are so pleased with the progress in hour!
— Genna, Scotia

Michah is amazing! You can tell as soon as she enters your home that she is an expert in her field. After just her first visit and following her suggestions, we have noticed an amazing difference in our two dogs, Jake, a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, and Duke, a Great Dane mix! They are both rescues, but from different dog rescues. There was such a change for the better in just one day! Our dogs are happier and we are happier! We are looking forward to her next visit to help us correct a few more bad habits that we have allowed. We thought we were allowing these behaviors out of love, but now realizing our dogs and we are much happier now that those bad habits are being corrected. The benefit that I love the best is that she comes to our house and works with our dogs and us in our own environment. That, to us, makes so much sense. And her charges are so reasonable, especially for her expertise. I highly recommend Michah! 🙂

Michah is wonderful! She is so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. There was a not single question she couldn’t answer!! She takes the time to make sure you understand how to practice techniques at home, checks in regularly to see if you need additional assistance, and really listens to what your concerns are. I am so happy we found her! My dog had made a largely positive turnaround in such a short period of time and I would highly recommend Michah to anyone looking to start dog training services. Thank you Michah!

Amazing training session with Rachel and Michah with our two special dogs. We learned so much and saw such progress in just an hour!! I would advise anyone to contact them for help with learning how to behave with your dogs. We were doing everything wrong!! To see my deaf, anxious dog become calm and sit and stay brought tears to my eyes. They were excellent!!! Thank you so much.

In the initial session of approximately 1 1/2 hours: a. Rachel educated us on the underlying causes of our dogs unwanted behavior (aggressive greeting of guests to our home, fighting to be first out the door, excessive barking and ignoring our calls to come); and b.worked with us and our dogs leaving us with clear direction and tools to address the issues. I personally have had success beyond expectation with the tools she provided my husband and I to direct the desired behavior of our Miniature Schnauzer adolescent dog and Yorkshire Terrier puppy. We and our dogs are appreciative for her attention. I recommend her services without reserve!
— Deborah, Schenectady

I have a totally different dog after hiring Rachel (and Michah!) and the knowledge I gained is priceless. A+!
— Madison, Schenectady
I was provided with techniques and she practiced these techniques with me. My dog and I put in the work, followed the training plan on a consistent and daily basis, and my dog made excellent progress.
— Kate,

... the At Home Dog Trainer, helped me build a strong relationship with my rescue pup, Kai. I highly recommend her as a force-free, positive reinforcement, certified professional dog trainer in NY’s Capital Region. She gave me essential building blocks to help Kai not guard at meal times, walk well on leash, and successfully meet other dogs without being afraid. Rachel was readily available by phone and email too!

Kai and I accomplished some milestones recently where he spent time at the groomer getting a bath and his nails clipped last weekend and this weekend, we went to Hudson with lots of foot and paw traffic. Kai had lunch outside with us with a small dog at the next table.
